On Thursday, September 5, 2019, all adjunct faculty, overseas collegiate faculty, students, and alumni will transition from Google G Suite to Microsoft Office 365.

Adjunct and overseas collegiate faculty who have taught within the past 18 months will have their Google e-mail, files, folders, and contacts migrated to Microsoft Office 365. Google calendars, forms, and sites will not be migrated; faculty who wish to retrieve this data may contact IT support. This transition also applies to stateside collegiate faculty with accounts on the "faculty.umuc.edu" domain.

Faculty are invited to preview their accounts prior to September 5. Instructions and additional resources are available on Engage. Technical support is available at help.umuc.edu.

For students who have taken classes as recently as fall 2017, new Office 365 accounts will be created. Alumni who have listed a UMUC student e-mail address as a contact method with Alumni Relations will also receive Office 365 accounts. Google content will not be migrated; however, students and alumni will be offered an opportunity to retrieve their data prior to the transition. (Please note that students and alumni will be notified of the transition on August 20.)

For reference purposes, all users will retain access to Google through the end of 2019.
