Arts Program Out and About logo

You're invited to join the UMUC Arts Program and Art Advisory Board for a daylong educational art trip to Maryland arts destinations on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Join art patrons, collectors, and enthusiasts for visits to Glenstone Museum (Potomac), the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts (Hagerstown), and Just Looking Gallery (Hagerstown). After a continental breakfast, we'll start the day with a walk of the grounds and an exploration of the modern and contemporary art collections at Glenstone. Then we'll tour the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts and attend the opening reception of The Blues and the Abstract Truth: Voices of African American Art exhibition, which features African American art from 1929 to the present from the UMUC collection and the David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora at University of Maryland, College Park. We'll end the day enjoying a reception and shopping for art at Just Looking Gallery.

The cost, $85 per person, includes breakfast, lunch, entry fees, and transportation. Deadline for registration is May 30. For more information, contact Jon West-Bey, curator, UMUC Arts Program, at jon.west-bey@umuc.edu.
