August 2019: Crystal Rendon, Military Education Coordinator

Crystal RendonAs a 2005 UMUC graduate, Crystal understands what our students need and how important it is for them to be able to seek help during their academic journey—especially with our active-duty military servicemembers. For that reason, Crystal says, "I work to provide students with the same level of care and attention that I got back then, and that means doing things like helping with class selections, going over syllabi, letting them vent about the difficulty of some classes, or even helping them look into future careers. I absolutely love my job and I'm eager to grow in the university for some time to come."

July 2019: Corwin Facey, Military Education Coordinator

Corwin FaceyCorwin is a U.S. Army veteran who works with UMUC at our Fort Hood location. He has been working with UMUC for almost three years, beginning in our Asia division and moving to Texas last year. Corwin says, "I find it rewarding to help students achieve their education goals. Talking to military members that are unsure about what they would like to pursue regarding their education and giving them facts about how we can help them as they move on in their military career is something I look forward to daily."
