Transfer Your Defense Information School Credits Toward a Master's Degree

Master of Science in Management with Public Relations or Marketing Specializations with Transfer Credits from Defense Information School

If you have graduated from the Public Affairs Officer Course at the Defense Information School, you may be eligible to transfer 3 graduate credits toward a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Public Relations at University of Maryland University College.

In addition, if you are a graduate of DINFOS and have completed the Army Command and General Staff College Common Core Curriculum, you may be eligible to receive 9 graduate credits toward the Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Marketing.

To participate in this program, you must have completed one of these two programs with DINFOS. All coursework for the degree, including courses taken at DINFOS, must be completed within a seven-year window. You must submit official transcripts from DINFOS for review, along with the transfer credit evaluation request form to see if you meet the eligibility requirements.

After completing this master's degree, you can earn your Master of Business Administration by completing just three additional courses.

Requirements

After UMUC has received the official transcripts from DINFOS and eligibility requirements have been met, you can receive credit for PRPA 601 toward the Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Public Relations.

If you are approved for eligibility after the completion of DINFOS the Command and General Staff College Common Core Curriculum, you can receive credit for MGMT 610, MGMT 615, and MRKT 601 toward the Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Marketing.
