Students may be admitted as either graduates or undergraduates, but no one may hold both classifications at one time. A student’s most recent application for admission invalidates any previous admission.

  • Students may be admitted to only one USM graduate program at anytime. Application for admission to a second graduate program is not permitted until notification of resignation has been presented to the first program. Students admitted to any USM graduate program should inform UMUC.

  • Once admitted, students retain active status for two years even without being registered in the program. Students may withdraw at any time by writing to Graduate Advising at 3501 University Boulevard East, Adelphi, MD 20783. Students whose files become inactive must reapply for admission.

  • UMUC graduate students who have been academically dismissed from one program will not be considered for readmission to any other UMUC Graduate School of Management and Technology degree.
