Instructions for New Employee Orientation

This site is dedicated to preparing you to make decisions about your benefits and arrive at UMUC informed and ready to enroll. During your first day at UMUC, you will meet with a human resources specialist to review and enroll in your employee benefits. Documents MUST be submitted in black ink, without any errors (i.e. scratches, dashes, white-out, etc.).

Step 1: Complete Human Resources Forms

Print and bring a copy of the orientation agenda and UMUC Adelphi map [PDF] on your first day in order to navigate to each site on your first day of orientation.

Then, access the Human Resources Forms page to print, read and complete all the documents you will need to bring with you on your first day at UMUC.

Step 2: Review and Select Benefits and Retirement

Access the Benefits and Retirement Information page to read, print and complete your employee health care and retirement forms. Bring these with you on your first day at UMUC.

Step 3: Review Pre-Orientation Checklist

Review the Pre-Orientation Checklist. Print, complete and sign all forms; bring the forms with you on your first day to the UMUC Inn and Conference Center in Adelphi, Maryland, room 3102.
