The One2One Mentorship program at University of Maryland University College provides individualized, peer-to-peer support to veterans, servicemembers, and their families. The One2One Mentorship program offers opportunities for mentors and mentees to develop and maintain long-term positive relationships.

Mentors can provide guidance on navigating veterans benefits as well as career advice, encouragement, and general support to help the military and veteran community successfully transition from the military to UMUC's academic experience and civilian life. Please note that this is not a tutoring service.

Find a mentor: First-year students or first-semester transfer students are encouraged to participate in the One2One Mentorship program. To apply, complete and submit the mentee application or contact vrc@umuc.edu for more information.

Become a mentor: Any student who has completed at least two academic terms with UMUC and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (undergraduate) or 3.25 (graduate) can apply to participate in the One2One Mentorship program as a mentor. Preference will be given to veteran and servicemember students who are in their junior or senior year.
