  • Orientation for Middle States Visiting Team members traveling overseas
March 3 - 14, 2006
  • Two members of the Middle States Visiting Team visit select UMUC Asia educational sites in Japan and South Korea
March 5 - 11, 2006
  • Two members of the Middle States Visiting Team visit select UMUC Europe education sites in Germany and Italy
April 2-5, 2006

  • Middle States Visiting Team arrives to conduct the self-study review and develop its report on UMUC's re-accreditation
April 5, 2006
  • Middle States Visiting Team Chair delivers an oral report of the Team's findings to the UMUC's faculty, staff, and students
June 22, 2006
  • The Middle States Commission on Higher Education holds its June meeting and considers UMUC's accreditation status

2005

Spring 2005
  • Subcommittees develop their draft self-study chapters
  • The visiting team chair is selected
  • Steering committee reviews draft self-study chapters from the subcommittees
  • Coordinating committee reviews draft self-study document
  • Subcommittees revise the draft chapters submitted based on feedback
Summer 2005
  • Subcommittee chairs revise self-study chapters
  • Self-study chapters reviewed by the steering and coordinating committees
  • Draft self-study released to UMUC community for discussion/input
Fall 2005
  • Self-study report reviewed/approved by steering and coordinating committees
  • Submit approved, final self-study to the visiting team chair
  • Revisions to self-study made as advised by the visiting team chair

  • Final self-study document submitted to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and to the UMUC Middle States Visiting Team
