UMUC opening at 10:00 a.m. on 3/22

Student Accounts: Why is there a hold on my account?

An account hold is a symbol that represents a particular status or impact that may affect your access to university services. Account holds (also called Service Indicators) can be negative or positive.

  • Negative holds are represented by the PeopleSoft Negative Service Indicator symbol and prevent delivery of some or all UMUC services.
  • Positive holds are represented by the PeopleSoft Positive Service Indicator symbol and generally appear for students with special circumstances. Positive holds do not affect access to services.
