Registration: When are start dates and registration deadlines for online, hybrid, and on-site courses?

For information about start dates and the registration period for each term, please view the Academic Calendar. Use the Undergraduate and Graduate tabs to view the correct dates.
(Note: UMUC Europe and UMUC Asia students may wish to view the calendars for their divisions.)

Registration Options

Online Courses: Students must register at least five days before the start of the online course.
Example: An online session begins on Monday, January 14. You can register until Wednesday, January 9, at 11:59 p.m. (eastern time).

Hybrid Courses (Defined as having both online and on-site components): Students must register one day before the calendar start date. For example, you can register until Sunday, January 13, at 11:59 p.m. (eastern time) for a hybrid session that runs from Monday, January 14, through Sunday, March 10.

On-site Courses: Students must register before the start of the first class meeting.
Note: All on-site graduate courses are considered to have an online component, regardless of whether they are designated as a hybrid class; therefore, all on-site graduate courses follow the deadlines for hybrid courses.

Visit the Course Registration page for more information about registering for classes and important dates for the academic year, including session start dates, registration deadlines, and holidays.
