Biography

Scott came to UMUC 16 years ago as a graduate assistant in the School of Undergraduate Studies (SUS). Since that time, he has been an advisor for both SUS and the Graduate School.

Scott and his wife are native to Wisconsin, but now call Takoma Park home with their two box turtles and one tortoise. Scott originally came to Maryland to participate in the PhD program in history at the University of Maryland, College Park. He started working for UMUC in September 1988. He worked in undergraduate advising for 10 years and in graduate advising for 6 years. He recently took a position as the Departmental Coordinator for the ITS program in the Graduate School.

In his spare time, he plays volleyball, grows bonsai trees (more than 25), and is a Packers fan. As he explains it, "I live in Maryland, but I bleed green and gold."
