By summer of 2007, I will receive my Bachelor's of Arts degree in humanities with a minor in art history.
My interests include traveling, reading, exercising, martial arts, watching sports, and learning foreign languages (i.e.Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian).
Also, I am very active in my community. I serve as a mentor to pre-teen and teenage boys. I also have an active role in my church as well.
Nomination Essay
My employment here at UMUC has opened up several opportunities for me as both a student and an employee. Now is my chance and opportunity to give back to the institution what I have been given.
Communicating the needs and ideas to a governing body is an effective way to boost morale and confidence in the workplace. I am confident that I will learn and execute the effective way to communicate with both the employees and the governing committee. In addition, trust and integrity are key aspects in helping staff members of any workplace to feel valued. Maintaining an environment of trustworthiness is a necessity for the growth and development of a thriving institution.
Lastly, success and leadership are important values for a company, university, and corporation to uphold. If UMUC does not succeed and become a leader, then it will be difficult for our students to succeed and demonstrate leadership qualities globally. Success and leadership are virtues that I will bring to the forefront of the advisory council, and success and leadership are standards that the advisory council will expect from me.
