Biography
Kassidy Green is a Tulsa native who came to the East Coast seeking new academic and professional experiences. She currently studies speech communication at Morgan State University. While education is where her heart is, her passion is helping people meet and exceed their life goals.
Throughout her matriculation at MSU, Kassidy was resident advisor, Student Judicial Board member, elected senior class senator, and a member of the National Council of Negro Women. She proudly maintains a B average and is a member of Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society. While an undergrad, she served the Baltimore community as a volunteer for the NAACP National ACT-SO program. She is a proud member of the enrollment management team and is eager serve UMUC and our students for many years to come. As Kassidy completes the very last course she needs to earn her BA in speech communication in the Fall 2006 semester, she plans to pursue the human resource management and Master of Business Administration dual degree program at UMUC, starting in the Spring 2007 semester.
Nomination Essay
In the short time that Kassidy has been a member of the enrollment management team, she has shown herself to be a natural leader. She has become one of our best specialists and her students are extrememly pleased with her service. Far more important, Kassidy pours in extra hours each day to make sure her students are not forgotten. She often stays late to reach out to those in different time zones. She regularly works Saturday events and many times has had to stay late to help one of the last students.
I truly believe that Kassidy will be an asset to your group. I recommend her with the highest of confidence.
