Biography
Cassandra Lewis has been with UMUC for over five years and is currently a researcher in the Office of Evaluation, Research, and Grants. In that capacity she conducts research on online teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
Prior to this position, she was the Assistant Director of the Prior Learning program in the School of Undergraduate Studies (SUS). Cassandra has actively served the university by participating in numerous committees such as the SUS Retention Committee, Student Grievance and Complaints and the Effective Writing Committee. In addition to her full time job, she is also a doctoral candidate in the department of Education Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland College Park.
Nomination Essay
Cassandra is a hardworking, forward thinking person who can contribute a great deal to ASAC. She is always willing to go the extra mile to get a job done and seeks to add value to any assignment she has been tasked or any committee she serves. Cassandra has a positive disposition and is a pleasure to work with. She is objective and fair and will be a strong and supportive addition to ASAC.
