Executive MBA Education in a Global World
Welcome to the Executive Education in a Global World. This is your opportunity to hear some of the actual experiences and approaches that distinguish the “executive” component of our Executive MBA program and our Chief Information Officer certificate program. Nine episodes detail how the Executive MBA program is designed specifically to develop global leadership competencies. You will hear from participants on the international trips, company executives who implemented our team-prepared global business plans, program faculty, and country mentors who support the cross-cultural exercises and simulations in our residencies. Our executive coaches discuss the leadership assessments and the coaching experience in both the EMBA and CIO programs. In four episodes dedicated to the Chief Information Officer certificate, UMUC faculty and executives from the General Services Administration (GSA) describe how the U.S. Clinger-Cohen Act has prescribed competencies needed for a CIO, why both the GSA and UMUC award certificates, and how critical these competencies are in both the federal government and private industry. We invite you to listen to the voices of those who have experienced the many facets of these executive-level activities.
