Cooperative Education

Become a Faculty Sponsor
All UMUC faculty are invited to participate in Cooperative Education as a Faculty Sponsor. Here are some of the benefits to be realized by being a sponsor:
- You have an opportunity to find out where your students are working, what is required of them in the workplace, and how they are applying their academic knowledge.
- You help to assure the academic integrity of UMUC's unique Co-op program by reviewing and approving student's learning proposals before they can enroll.
- You help students maximize their work performance by developing strong project management skills, gaining insight into their organization, and through reflection. You can work with your students through WebTycho or one-on-one via telephone and e-mail.
- You will not have to develop your Co-op course. The course and syllabus are prepared for you to follow.
- You are compensated for each student that you work with, and you can limit the number of students each term.
