Through UMUC's Co-op program, students learn beyond the classroom, develop important professional knowledge and skills, while also earning academic credit to accelerate their degree completion. All of these ultimately translate to career advancement! Students gain important benefits of having professional, academic and career mentors in the cooperative education process. Because co-op 'integrates' studies and work responsibilities, students find they make the most of their time. Many students report that they achieve a raise, a promotion, or other career goals faster as a result of recognition for accomplishments enabled by their Co-op.
