Job Fair and Registration Information

You're invited to participate as an employer in the job fair on Thursday, October 23 , 2008 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center located in Adelphi, Maryland.

The Job Fair will encompass organizations from all job sectors. Our 2007 Fall Job Fair was a huge success—over 70 employers and over 500 students participated.

  • Registration: Signing up is easy. You can Register Online.
  • Cost: The cost to attend the Job Fair is $275, which gives you a standard display table and an afternoon coffee and snack break for representatives from your company. Or waive your registration for this event and for an entire year by becoming a Sponsor!

Sponsorship Opportunities

As a sponsor, your company may be entitled to waived registration fees at all UMUC job fairs, company logo included in job fair marketing material, targeted recruiting, company logo on Career Services Web pages and newsletter, the opportunity to write an article for UMUC Career Services newsletter and invitations to other key UMUC events. These are one year sponsorships.

Agenda

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Company registration and set up
3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Student networking with companies
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Companies take down booth and pack up supplies

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Directions and Parking

Parking is available in the Inn and Conference Center parking garage. We are able to provide employers two parking voucher per company that will allow free parking to two vehicles. If an employers chooses to bring more than two vehicles then the parking garage charges one dollar per hour. Parking vouchers will not be handed out until the conclusion of the job fair at 7 p.m.

Overnight Accommodations

Rooms are also located at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center. The guest rooms are run by the Marriott. Please call 301-985-7300 to reserve a room.

Cancellation Policy

By submitting your registration you are committing to participate in the Fall Job Fair and will be held responsible for payment unless you cancel your registration with in one week of the start of the fair. To cancel a registration, you must notify Katie Nailler via email at knailler@umuc.edu.
