Networking
Event Held in San Antonio, Texas
The first San Antonio, Texas, alumni networking event was held
April 5, 2002, at the Marriott Riverwalk in beautiful downtown San
Antonio. Thanks in large part to the efforts of Howard Cain ’68,
who went beyond the call of duty to personally contact and invite
over 100 alumni, more than 60 people attended. Plans are already
underway to form a San Antonio alumni chapter to provide greater
networking opportunities for the more than 900 alumni who live in
and around San Antonio.

Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, Maryland. The chapter is committed to
raising funds for scholarships that will support graduate students
studying international management. This year the IMAN Chapter raised
more than $3,800, a portion of which was directed to the Harvey
Wallender Memorial Scholarship, named after a graduate faculty member
who died in 2000 and who was greatly admired and respected by his
students in the IMAN program. Additional funds raised this year
went to support the newly created Fire Science Scholarship.
