On May 5, 2002, UMUC expressed its appreciation to President’s
Club members in a celebratory reception at Hidden Waters in Baltimore,
Maryland. Hidden Waters, the University System of Maryland chancellor’s
residence, provided an elegant backdrop for this festive occasion.
In addition to enjoying the company of alumni and friends, guests
had an opportunity to view works from UMUC’s Maryland Artists Collection,
on display on the first floor of the chancellor’s home.
Almost 100 members of the President’s Club were on hand to hear
UMUC President Gerald Heeger express his gratitude for their generosity
and commitment. The program also included remarks by Patricia Toregas,
the 2002–2003 president of the UMUC Alumni Association.
